Closures on MLK Blvd. between Colorado and San Jacinto Streets

Watch out on MLK Blvd. in front of the Bullock and Blanton Museums. The eastbound lane of MLK Blvd. from Colorado to Brazos Street (at Congress Avenue in front of the Bullock and Blanton Museums) is closed for the duration of the Capitol Complex construction project. The bike lane is also closed. Watch out for heavy equipment and construction vehicles entering and exiting the site at this location. Lane Closures on San Jacinto and 18th Street

There are lane closures and uneven pavement from MLK Blvd. to 15th Street on San Jacinto. Use extra caution when traveling south on San Jacinto from MLK Blvd. to 15th Street. Weekend Paving Work in October

Sections of Colorado, Brazos, 17th and 18th Streets will be repaved this month. Paving work will start on October 10 on the eastern lane of Brazos from MLK Blvd. to 17th Street. Crews will also be working on Colorado Street from 17th to 18th Streets this weekend. The construction crews will return to these areas on the weekend of October 17 and 18 to paint the stripes. Please avoid these streets on these weekends

Pedestrian Update – October 1, 2020

Walking Routes Look for red pedestrian signs along sidewalks in the Capitol Complex. The six foot A-frame signs have a map and a QR code for easier access to the campus map. Use your smart phone to scan the QR code and open a pdf of the Capitol Complex map you can take along with you.
