Bush State Office Building – (Package 4) Our flagship building will receive its first tenants this spring, and crews are working diligently on the interior framing and construction. Conditioned air from the new Central Utility Plant is now flowing on several levels, and seven elevators have been installed. SAFETY ALERT: Drive defensively and slow down on MLK Blvd. Reminders MLK Blvd. and Congress Lane Closures: An eastbound lane of MLK Blvd. from Colorado to Brazos Street (in front of the Bullock and Blanton Museums) will be closed for the duration of the Capitol Complex construction project. Yes, the art museum is open, and Thursdays are FREE. Access the Blanton from Brazos Street and use the sidewalks on the north side of the building to avoid the construction zone. Red River Street Realignment

As the construction of the new UT arena continues, so is the realignment of Red River Street. The street will be realigned to create a straight path from 26th Street to East Cesar Chavez, which will ease connectivity and traffic flow through the University and Innovation District just west of IH35 from 19th Street to 12th Street. The estimated completion of this project is now set for Fall 2022.
