UT Longhorn Football Kicks Off

This weekend is the UT season opener, with Louisiana Tech visiting Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The good news is that all Capitol Complex construction will be shut down on Friday at 5 p.m. (work will resume Monday morning) to allow for the best visitor and tailgating experience possible. Tailgate Traffic and Parking Updates August 29, 2019

Closed: 17th Street between San Jacinto and Trinity Street (North of Scholz Garten) will be closed on all UT Football home game days. Traffic direction change: Trinity Street between MLK Blvd. and 15th Street will become southbound traffic ONLY, beginning one hour after kick-off. Closed Garages: State Garage B, R, and Q are reserved for UT Alumni Parking Permit holders only. All spaces in State Garage B, R, and Q are temporarily leased to the University of Texas for home games. [...]

The new traffic signal at Colorado and MLK is now active. This week look for more changes along MLK. The traffic signal at Colorado and MLK is now active. Meanwhile, the signal light at Congress has been modified to serve as a pedestrian crossing light only. ALERT State Parking Lot 3 – (17th & Colorado) will close on Monday, August 5 and fleet vehicles have been reassigned parking space in State Parking Lot 19.
