Holiday Power Shut Down

Stephen F. Austin Building Electrical Utility Upgrades On Wednesday, November 25 at noon, the electrical power to the Stephen F. Austin Building will be shut down. The University of Texas will host Iowa State on Friday, November 27 UT Game Day Public Parking will be open at select State parking garages. Overnight parking and tailgating are not permissible and tailgating before and after the game is prohibited. Closed: STATE GARAGE R for UT Issued Alumni Parking Permits Only. Celebrating Construction Workers

In September during national Construction Safety Week 2020, crews everywhere across the U.S., including at the Capitol Complex, recognized and shared construction safety best practices. Package 1 – The Excavation The excavation for the underground parking has been completed. (General Contractor: JE Dunn Construction) Package 2 – Utility Relocation Over 20 utilities systems were rerouted, improved or required new installations to support the transformation of the Capitol Complex.
