Bullock Museum – There is a lot of summer excitement at the Bullock this month. On Sunday, July 7, HEB is sponsoring the “Free First Sunday” event. Enjoy free exhibition admission all day and explore the museum’s three floors of exhibits and artifacts. From 12-3 p.m. there will be special interactive activities for the kids. Or stay cool by seeing a movie. Choose from Spider-Man: Far from Home, An Amazon Adventure or Pandas. Visit the museum’s website for the summer calendar of exhibits, films and events or subscribe to The Bullock Museum newsletter here.

Blanton Museum of Art – Check out the solo exhibit of Kambui Olujimi called Zulu Time. The exhibit is a collection of two-dimensional and sculptural works of art depicting the interlocking systems of power and invisible hierarchies that impact our daily lives. Plan on attending ‘Friday Late Till 8” at the Blanton every Friday through July 26th. Spend the evening with live music and interesting presentations. Be sure to use the crosswalk closest to the Blanton Café and across from the Bullock Museum for your safe passage over MLK Blvd. For more Blanton news, subscribe to their newsletter here.
