Special Invitation to Participate in a Mobility Commuter Study

Movability has partnered with Texas State University’s Translational Health Research Initiative to run a pilot study to gather information about how downtown employees get to and from work. Pedestrian and Parking Update, December 16, 2019

New Pedestrian Signs Look for new pedestrian signs along sidewalks in the Capitol Complex. The six-foot, red, sandwich-board signs have been refreshed with updated maps and a QR code for easier access to the online campus map. Use your smart phone to scan the QR code and open a pdf of the Capitol Complex map you can take along with you. Congress and MLK construction exit will be closing

The closing of the construction exit at Congress is another milestone for The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). The exit will be closed as the construction of the parking garage under Congress begins. It also marks the final phase of the excavation portion of the Texas Capitol Complex. Construction Pours Begin Tonight

The cranes are onsite at 1801 Congress and the site is ready to receive concrete for the foundation. This week we are celebrating another construction milestone – the pouring of the foundation of the underground parking garage at 1801 Congress. The concrete pours will happen in stages.
