Traffic Update June 29, 2020

1836 San Jacinto (corner of San Jacinto and MLK Blvd.) – Construction continues on schedule at the new Employee Retirement System (ERS) building at the northwest corner of MLK Blvd. and San Jacinto. (This is not a TFC managed project.)

San Jacinto & MLK – Please drive slowly through this congested construction area.

Street closures:

  • Brazos Street – Brazos from MLK Blvd to 18th Street is closed to through traffic. The intersection of Brazos and 18th Street is closed. Access the W.B. Travis State Office Building and Garage R from 17th Street only. Access the ERS visitor parking lot from San Jacinto and turn right on 18th Street. Exit the visitor parking lot by turning right on Brazos.
  • San Jacinto and 17th Street – Look for intermittent lane closures at this intersection through July. Later in July, expect a total closure of this intersection for nighttime work. Follow us on Twitter, @TFCtx, for specific details on evening closures.
  • Colorado (MLK to 18th Street) – Repaving of Colorado Street between 18th Street and MLK Blvd. is scheduled for that last two weekends in July. Expect total street closures of the street behind the Bullock Museum on those weekends.
