Street closures: 18th Street – The block of 18th Street between San Jacinto and Brazos is closed. To access Garage R or the ERS building use Brazos Street, which is open for thru traffic from MLK Blvd. to 17th Street. (To access the W.B. While Summer is winding down, we are going up.

While summer activities are winding down and folks are putting away their white shoes (it is after Labor Day!), our project teams are building up. 1836 San Jacinto (corner of San Jacinto and MLK Blvd.) – Construction continues on schedule at the new Employee Retirement System (ERS) building at the northwest corner of MLK Blvd. and San Jacinto. Pedestrian Update June 29, 2020

Walking Routes Look for red pedestrian signs along sidewalks in the Capitol Complex. The six foot A-frame signs have been refreshed with updated maps and a QR code for easier access to the campus map. Use your smart phone to scan the QR code and open a pdf of the Capitol Complex map you can take along with you. There is less traffic in the Capitol Complex since the pandemic “stay at home” orders were issued last month. Almost 90% of state employees are working from home. Field technicians, operations, security and support personnel, and other essential workers are the only ones working inside State buildings. Reopening the State of Texas

Last week Governor Abbott announced the “Open Texas” initiative and which specific types of businesses could reopen if they followed specific health guidelines and wanted to resume business now. The Texas Department of State Health Services has published recommended health safety protocols for businesses by industry, as well as for individuals, customers, and employees returning to work. Parking Updates May 11, 2020

Garage E – Temporary Closure TFC will be closing Garage E (1604 Colorado St.) on Thursday, May 14 through Sunday, May 17, for power washing and restriping. The first floor will have a change in the traffic pattern once the cleaning and restriping is complete. Vehicles wanting to exit the garage on Lavaca Street will now have access without going against traffic.
