We’ve Come a Long Way
The Texas Facilities Commission has been working on the transformation of the Capitol Complex since 2010 when it first identified approximately twenty-one acres of under-developed land north of 15th Street. From there, the Capitol Complex Master Plan took several years to develop and was finally approved in 2016. The official groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the Capitol Complex took place September 28, 2017.
Today, our flagship building, the George HW Bush State Office Building sits on this site.
